I want to personally wish all Little Stars' Diary visitors and supports a happy and prosperous Chinese New year! It is the year of the dragon this year, did you celebrate Chinese New Year? I know many of you may not exactly be Chinese or of other Asian cultures but did your community have any Chinese New Year celebrations? My city did and well it was a lot of fun! I am going to upload some pretty pictures of some ice sculptures that were carved and put on display at the Chinese cultural center in Chinatown. I love when Chinese New Year comes around, it is just like celebrating "Christmas" all over again. You put up red and gold decorations and prepare the tastiest (though not healthiest) foods, and best of all RED POCKET MONEY!!! Though I had to celebrate Chinese New Year at school this year, I was really glad that the beginning of Chinese New Year landed on a weekend this year, so I still got two days off to celebrate with my family and friends! Stuffy Noses

Stuffy noses and sore throats
are never fun to have (>.<)

One thing I don't like about the winter season is the common colds/flu viruses that circulate the air. I mean the weather is already cold enough, yet to increase our discomfort, the pesky little viruses float around in the air entering into the human body systems. It's kind of unfortunate that I will have to start my new semester of school with such undesirable feelings. Seriously I hate the feeling of not being able to breath properly. Better yet, sound extremely congested when I am talking. I think I will have to drink loads and loads of Lemon water to boost my immune system (T.T).

School starts tomorrow..... I think I have mixed feelings about that, well A) I am not too excited but still glad I can go back and continue achieving towards my dreams. B) I am definitely not happy about waking up early to get my butt to school......once again 8 AM classes Monday to Thursday! Woohoo...plus evening work shifts (~.~). I did recently found a new job as an MOA. Still on the trying out/ probation phase, as I just got hired this week. Lots to learn and remember, but let's hope it will help my studying too... to stay on track and not procrastinate so much.

Well that is all. I need to get some rest before my evening shift tonight. Hope all friends who are heading back to school tomorrow will have a great semester! Ganbadei kudasai!

The Last Blog Post for 2011 & New Years Resolutions!

Happy New Year
my friends!

Time really has zoomed! Every year, on December 31, I usually make a "Pre New Years" post! There is approximately 20 minutes left before 2012 hits! (Right now it is 11:40pm...). I have named this post the "last post" of 2011 since from tomorrow on, all posts will be labeled with a new year! New Years always brings me mixed feelings.. from being reflective to having hope for the better.
My 2011 experience really had its ups and downs, but I think it has really helped shaped me as I am growing older. (^v^) I guess one of the highlights of 2011 was being able to experience World Youth Day 2011 that took place in Madrid this year. That pilgrimage allowed me to experience adventures I never would have imagined to experience!

New Years Resolutions...

I don't have too big of a list but here it goes!
1. To be able to succeed academically!! (^u^)
2. To spend more time with family and friends
3. Less procrastination and keeping on track in school and work!
4. Staying fit and healthy
5. Keeping a close relationship with God
6. To have fun and always be happy
7. Travel to Korea and visit my awesome teacher Amy!
8. To presevere even when obstacles come my way!
9. Enjoy every adventure that awaits me day by day
10. To keep blogging!

Well, I'm gonna head off to get ready for the countdown at my place! I wish all visitors a very Happy New Year! May all your wishes come true! Let us all begin the new journey of adventures in 2012!!!

Restaurant Experience Gone Wrong #2

Okay. So how do I put this? I have no idea what is wrong with the restauraunts in my city this year. I have been encountering some pretty bad servers lately.... from the crappy experience I got from the Viet restaurant now to the Chinese Restaurant who claims they have a pretty good Hot Pot deal. NO. Because some big jerk FORCED us to pay him tips..... I mean the hot pot was buffet style, what service do you expect? My friends and I perhaps experienced the worst "ripped off" experience ever. SERIOUSLY. Yet at the same time, all four of us were so mad at ourselves for not standing up to that jerk (let's refer to him as Mr. Window for privacy concerns).

The night started out being extremely fun and great, we laughed and joked as we ate and we ate a lot of really good stuff like beef and fish o(^v^)o, and all the hot pot goodies. But when it came to the time to pay, MR. WINDOW wrecked the fun atmosphere. Without actually showing us a cheque, he points to a pink slip and says: "Each of you have to pay 24 dollars."
Of course, my awesome friend did speak up and said: "Isn't it only 19 dollars, so..."
"Oh yah yah, like plus a small fee." he continues. [(>w<)--WTF]

Oh okay, a small fee, for what? Yet, we were all so stoked at his rude attitude, we eventually just gave him the money and left. I mean we did not want to cause a scene with so many people lined up to pay. There are many lessons I have learned from this experience.

A. DON'T pay with cash, cause the jerk probably just took the money for himself.

B. SPEAK UP! Being passive, like we were, only results us in being angry at ourselves, yet we were the victims.

I really hope someone goes and catches Mr. Window for his rudeness. I mean seriously, forcing people to pay you tips? MAN YOU ARE CHEAP.

"I'm not gonna serve you." .... Well your service is not worth my money.

I don't know if any of you have experienced this or not, if you have how did you deal with it? If not, well this is a rant about an incident that happened at lunch today. I don't wanna mention where this restauraunt is or what it is called. So, I am just going to refer to it as Restaurant X and the jerk host as Mr. Y.

Friday, end of the working days, a time to chill; a time to go out for lunch.

It stopped snowing and was rather warm today so of course my lovely mother and I decided we would go to our favorite Pho place for lunch. Restaurant X, we were usual customers, their pho isn't the best but they're quick and fast in terms of serving. I don't specifically like or dislike the place, but after today I think I've jumped to the dislike side.

12:30pm, lunch hour. Probably the worst time to go for lunch. We stepped inside the restaurant seeing that it was packed with people. A large crowd was waiting in the extremely small entrance area. My mother, being a sweetie like she always is decided she would respectfully wait in line for her turn to get a table. She even held the door for others! But, today was not our day. Two men swiftly walked in and went straight ahead of us and registered their name on a list.

WAIT. A LIST? WHAT? WHEN DID THEY HAVE THIS POLICY? Remember, we are usual customers (o_o).

My mom, seeing this, obviously felt upset, she waited for so long and these two men line jumped. (>.<). right? So, my mom stepped up to the Mr. Y and said "Um sir, i was before those two gentlemen." He glared at my mom with disbelief and put his hand over the sign up sheet.

"No you weren't." he said.
"YES I was. Ask those two gentlemen" my mom replied.
With much disbelief, he asked the two men: "Was she before you guys."
For some odd reason those two men made it seem like my mom lined jump and unwillingly nodded their heads.

So Mr. Y unwillingly let my mom put her name above. My mom then made a suggestion to Mr. Y that they should make a sign saying "please sign up to wait for a table" and then told him: "You really shouldn't be acting like that, it was rude. Why would I lie about this?"

OKAY. That blew it. He got pissed and faked a chuckle. And then he made another extremely rude comment about my mom that I didn't quite hear from the loud noise of the restaurant. Then, all I heard was my mom saying "SHUT UP." (uh oh.)

"You go then, if you're so unsatisfied, I'm not gonna serve you."
My mom, being a strong woman then said... "Well your service is not worth my money anyways." and we left.

It is funny isn't it? It was a simple problem from before, yet because of what they said to one another it became a major issue.

I am not saying I fully support my mom because well she did become quite angry at the guy. But I am definitely NOT supporting MR. Y either.

But just a personal thought: If we would just take a deep breath, and try to rephrase our words, maybe this problem would not have occured.

Conclusion to this incident? We're never gonna set foot in Restaurant X ever again.

Last Day of Fall Semester

Today has perhaps been the most touching day since the fall semester started back in September. Last year, first year of University, I didn't really enjoy it much since I went through much of a cultural shock. This year was different. I set new goals and new plans and went a different route. Let's just say I am quite glad I chose to do this because without this decision, I wouldn't have met such an amazing professor. I will not mention her name. but will only refer to her as Dr. P.

I only chose Sociology so that I could get a high GPA and that it transfers to the University I am applying to, since I want to switch to the nursing program there. I didn't expect very much of this class. The goals I had in mind at the very beginning were simple. Study. Do good. Get a good GPA. Done. However, after the first two weeks of Sociology, I began to fall in love with the class as my professor made it the best class of my whole semester.

Dr. P is a very different professor. She doesn't quite act like the usual professor. Rather, she treats her students like friends, engaging them in great group discussions and introduces them to new ideas and critical ways of thinking. She has great humor! Even though every Tuesday and Thursday, since the start of the semester, I would have to go from 8 AM morning class all the way to 5pm, sociology (even though it was late) was a class I never wanted to miss.

Today, our last class ended off with a very touching wrap up speech by Dr. P.
I will never forget what she said: "Go on and pursue the dream you have, I really hope all you do achieve them, it is okay to know your limits--don't be ashamed if you didn't achieve them when you have tried your best", "when the curve ball comes and hits you, get back up and go back on the treadmill!" She ended off with tears in her eyes.

Last year, when I was in the nursing program at the university I am in right now, I wasn't having a very good year, I didn't meet very nice professors. Hearing Dr. P say that I felt deeply touched, it seemed like she knew what we as students were going through. All the stress and disappointments and high expectations. Dr. P will always be one of the professors I will remember nad forever respect. Thank you ,Dr. P, you are an amazing woman, teacher, and nurse!

Exams. Christmas Shopping. Sleep Deprived

December is really a month of stress!

"It's beginning to look a lot like STRESSMAS, everywhere you go!"

It's so true isn't it? I am sure many university or college students would agree with me. December is no doubt one of the busiest months of the whole year. Students, like myself are stressing out about exams and applications, Christmas shopping, and worse of all, we don't get enough sleep! o(>.<)o

Don't get me wrong, I love the Christmas season, REALLY! But, I guess with the fact that I have exams before the actual holiday, it really gives me migraines. I recently heard on the radio that many people are prone to suffer from depression during this time due to all the stress that the holiday season brings. NO KIDDING!

When the Christmas season hits a lot of people are "sucked" into the preparation from buying gifts to decorating the house, to hosting parties. MAN, with all of that, there is seriously not enough time to catch up on sleep...let alone have exams on top of all of that. YUCK!

So I just want to wish all my fellow university/ college readers good luck on your exams! And yes, have a very Merry Christmas!

Still Counting....

On the previous post, I may have mentioned about my exciting trip to Spain this coming August. Well including today, I have exactly 15 days left before I bored the plane and make my first trip to Europe. The only thing I am worried about right now is that I haven't started packing yet! According to the list of 'things to bring' I have A LOT to pack. But then the Summer weather I am having in the city right now is just too gorgeous to ditch and pack for hours! *Haha* well wish me luck that I will be able to get well prepared for this Pilgrimage!

You may not believe how excited I am... in about 2 weeks or so I will be making my FIRST EVER pilgrimage/trip to Europe--Portugal/ Spain. When Music Touches Your Heart.......

To be honest, I never really pay attention to the Indie bands of the Kpop music industry. But this one amazing music group has really captured my attention. Recently, I clicked on the "Standing Egg" music playlist fround on the Jenpoo music site, and I was extremely amazed at the wonderful music that was on the playlist. It was a real treat to my ears. "Standing Egg" is an indie group composed of 3 members--Egg 1, Egg 2 and Egg 3. Clover is in charge of vocals along with Han Kyul. Hana is in charge of the Djembe.This trio consists of 2 composers and one writer . Egg 3 is the one who writes and produces all of their originals. Occasionally, they have other singers such as Windy featured in their songs. The first song that I got really attached to is "사랑한대" I believe it translates to "One Love" (apologies if this is wrong!!). This song gives to you a strong "summery" and care free feeling. I listened to this song while I walked home from the movies last week. It really matched the weather that day.....sunny,blue sky, with puffy white clouds here and there. It really made the walk home a fun one!

The second one I also really like is "앓이" I believe this translates to "Ache". This song is a more mellow, yet powerful song that really touched my heart. Somehow, I feel that this song has that Japanese kind of feeling to it-especially the chorus. The chorus kind of has the 'Kobukuro" style to it. I really really enjoy listening to this song. It paints a very soft picture of a girl waiting in a place full of nature--like flying flower petals and trees. This group sure makes easy listening and "fresh" tunes. Since the end of the university winter semester. I was stuck in quite a bit of dilemma of decisions on what I really wanted, and what was fit for me. I am glad I stumbled upon Standing Egg--their music has been a real relaxing tool for me through my stressful times. Have a listen to my two favorites from them! I have featured them on my blog. Be sure to check out their MV's and other music on their official YouTube channel "StandingEGG"! They just recently released a mini album full of originals and covers! Check out the audio videos there! As we all journey towards our own goals, let us take the time to relax and enjoy the Summer days!

幸福就是這麽簡單的.....

常常在電視看一些偶像劇, 都會提到「幸福」這樣奇細的東西。可是, 那些劇都只會用男女之間的愛情來形容幸福是什麽一會事。所以, 很多年輕都以為要找到愛你的另一半才算找到真正的幸福。因此, 我們這些年輕人都常常忽略我們的家人和真心關心我們的朋友給的愛。剛過去的長週末, 我和我的家人到了唐人街吃火鍋還到 Downtown 裡面的「王子島」公園散步,拍照、和打鞦韆。今年我巳經快十九歲了, 越來越少機會與家人出去玩.....當我在鞦韆上看見爸媽和弟在笑的時候, 我心裡怱然感到非常溫暖和開心。我在擺來擺去的鞦韆上望著藍藍的天空想到了祂....祂真的要愛我....祂賜給了我一個開心和暖的家........ 一對一路支持我愛護的父母和一個可愛的弟弟。我還能要求什麽呢?

昨天, 我還能够與教會幾個好朋友一起去吃飯和看電影。在今天的社會中, 能認識幾個好友是非常難的。友情是一種奇細的東西! 它能把人與人之間的距離拉近! ^_____^

真的, 想一想, 我其實真的已經有很多真貴的「禮物」了....上主讓我知道「幸福」不只是男女之間的愛情。真正的幸福是很簡單的.....只要有你能够與最關心你的家人和朋友一起努力過每一天經足够了。

幸福的「福」字
我記得在我教會裡的烏執事曾經有一個 Homily, 裡面有提到幸福的「福」字是怎麽形成的..... 他說過「福」字就一個很有意思的字因為「福」是由「ネ」字邊加一個「一」字、一個「口」字、和一個「田」字---意思就是:要得到「福」是要由祂賜的----因為「福」就是「神給我一口田」的意思。要找到真正的幸福就要信賴於祂。

I am currently spending most of my time studying and preparing for exams. To be honest, I am quite nervous. I find that I am somewhat a procrastinator........therefore, I especially want to pray today. I pray that God will give me strength to be able to do well on my exams and to stay focus when studying. A Message that would Brighten Your Day

On a day when stress of a midterm exam makes you want to "rip your hairs out" you wouldn't expect anything can cheer you up.......
Except today, I was able to experience such a little surprise. During the summer of 2009, my close friend and I were very fortunate to meet a personal teacher who taught us Korean. Our lessons lasted till Christmas of that same year (when she went back to Korea). Not only did this amazing teacher teach us how to read and write Hanguel, she even told us many of the traditions and fun things we would be able to find in Korea. This amazing teacher has become one of our greatest friend! However, due to busy school schedules, we were unable to keep in touch for at least a year! Until last week, I took the initiative and tried emailing her again--not expecting a reply since I had no idea whether or not she used the same email.

This morning, while I was still facing some great stress for my exam and not having a very good day to start, as I opened my email account, an email from this awesome teacher/friend arrived.
Although the email was not a very long one, it become one that was very dear to my heart as well as my close friend's heart. It really cheered our day up! Just a small message can really become a small surprise treat for us!

Working. Learning.

Hello Everyone,
Today has been a rather tough day at school I should say. Every Thursday I am unfortunately trapped at school for 12 full hours working like there is no tomorrow on school work >.<. Unfortunately, my usual Thursdays didn't end off like I wanted it to..... I really hope next week will be better... but then....

Next week is once again that "SUPER" stressful week of midterms for my nursing courses. I am seriously extremely nervous about my two tests. I pray to do well :] and well I hope that whatever happened during my lab today won't carry through to the weekend and affect my studying. It is just so sad how one thing happens and it kinda destroys your whole mood.....

But well I must say, Geek's version of "officially Missing You" is really making me relax a bit though I am still recovering from my "anger" at what happened during my lab today at school. I have featured the song on my blog. I have a very strong feeling that Geeks will become a very successful group of talented Rappers and Singers in the Korean music industry.
I just hope the continuous guitar instrumental and relaxing beats will ease my unhappiness and anxiety! Oh and another thing that is really cheering me up is the amazingly cute "Bears Bread" picture. Have a look!

Third week at University-- Second semester

*Ah* after a relaxing break filled with laughter and joy mixed with the Christmas spirit, I am now back at school working and striving towards success--or so I hope. Hmmm thoughts about the new semester ahead. I WANT TO DO WELL! The first semester went by rather slow and difficult with the "cultural shock" transition in place. But well I believe this new semester will be much better.

In a week or so (I think) it will be Chinese New Year-- the year of the Rabbit! I cannot wait to blog about the adventures I will have this Chinese New Year! In the meantime I hope everyone will have a wonderful week ahead of them!

New Years Eve Trip- Canmore

Wow, I can't believe it, there is only a half an hour left of 2010! As promised I would share the adventures of my New Years Eve trip to Canmore to everyone. Well Here it goes! My family and our family friends traveled to Canmore just to celebrate New Years Eve with the wonderful winter- looking nature and mountains. Though the temperature was extremely cold, the sunshine and the view really captured our hearts and "warmed" our eyes. Such a treat! Canmore is a really small town just an hour outside of the city I live in. It's like "mini Banff" in my opinion. We traveled through the streets of their small town center hoping to find a good place to have lunch. Unfortunately, due to our poor planning skills we didn't quite find a good place. We managed to stumble upon a Chinese Restaurant that totally ripped us off >.<. But, well we didn't give up, after the super small 'Chinese lunch' we had we continued traveling down the freezing streets and well luckily we found the most cutest and delicious Flatbread restaurant! It is called Rocky Mountain Flatbread Co. They serve the most delicious and filling flatbread pizzas :] Except, I wasn't quite a fan of their Goat Cheese flatbread pizzas. The pizza I had was awesome, it was the "Special" of the day and it was made with mozzarella cheese, pork strips, tomato sauce, potatoes, peppers etc...... soo good! And well the best part of course was the dessert-- they called it the Dessert Flatbread pizza, it was made with melted white chocolate, chocolate brownie cheesecake crumbs, and blackberries served with ice cream that you could scoop on top each slice you had. JUST AMAZING! Oh and well the organic coffee (with a free refill XD) was pretty awesome too! To be honest, the trip to Canmore started out super freezing and "ripped off" but it got better after the amazing pizza lunch and well amazing winter mountain views!

A Turbulent Ride 2010

I just cannot believe how fast time keeps going by! In a blink of an eye, 2010 has come to its end. *Hmmm* time for a quick reflection, WOW, 2010 has been like a "roller coaster" ride for me. There had been many ups and downs, tears and joy, and best of all the excitement of achievement. 2010 has been a really important year for me because it is the year I graduate for High School and begin the Post Secondary School life. The "UPS" of this year was that I managed to accomplish my greatest dream and goal--to make it into University and begin my Nursing Studies. Though the decisions and hard work I had to put in to be able to reach this goal was really tiring and I always complained and nagged about "giving up" I am very blessed to be able to stay strong and have the opportunity to reach my ultimate goal! (I praise and THANK the Lord of all his care and support during that time!). The "DOWNS" of 2010 was probably my injuries I endured. Unfortunately, this year, due to my clumsiness and heavy backpack I slipped down the stairs in my house and severely inujured my tailbone. >.< (DANG- I still feel that pain in my tailbone). But, once again, I am just grateful my close friend's Dad helped me with rehab and supported me until I could walk properly again. I thank my school friends too for helping me at school carrying my books and backpack to class! I TRULY DO FROM THE BOTTOM OF MY HEART! *Sigh-Ah* Well there is just so much I want to say! Good thing I began this post early, it is now 2:18 in the morning. I will be going out of town from morning til the afternoon for a Brunch just outside of my city--to the small town named Canmore. Welcome Christmas Break

Finally! I am free of the exams "stress back- pack" ! Today, I wrote my last final exam of the first semester! Now that my Christmas break has started, I can start focusing on the Christmas holiday fun and cheer! *Hmmmm* thinking about some of the things I need to do to prepare for my Christmas party on the 25th--- I need to set up my Christmas tree still! Yes, it is kind of late, but well the holiday cheer is never complete without a decorated Christmas tree oui? Now that I am on break, I have time to 'review' what I still need to do for this Christmas.......
The Most important one is probably to FINISH MY Christmas Shopping!

Well, better get some rest now and begin my Christmas preparation journey tomorrow!

A Little Christmas Shopping

*HAHA* Recently, due to exams and extreme stress, I haven't really got the chance to begin my christmas shopping. Well, let's say I did try last week for an hour at the mall while waiting for my ride home after my orthodontist appointment.....except I didn't find anything my friends requested at the mall! Though I did find some rather cute Christmas ornaments to add to my tree this year. They are these little snowman ornaments with your names on it. SUPER CUTE! I will be done exams by Wednesday, I am crossing my fingers that I will be able to go to the mall for a few hours and finish up my Christmas shopping! Christmas is approaching soon, though I have been through quite a tough advent, I am super excited to celebrate Jesus' birthday! Merry Christmas everyone, will be back soon to blog more about my Christmas preparations!

Wow, I've realized its already been 3 months since I've been on this blog! Much has changed since August! Well, first of all I am finally in University now! Currently I am studying Nursing..... and well to be honest it is one super stress degree to be studying. Hopefully things will get much better as the year progresses.
Snow has finally arrived! It's extremely cold outside today and I will be leaving for Praise and Worship in a couple of hours.......better dress warmly!!!!!

Birthday coming soon.......A quick reflection

My summer has already been half done........ in a couple of weeks I will be starting my first year university life. To be honest, I am quite scared and worried, but I hope that I will be able to survive the pressure and new obstacles that come my way. Well another exciting event coming up will be my 18th birthday, I am excited and anxious at the same time because this means that I need to be a more mature and trustworthy person. The 17th year of my life has been a bumpy ride, full of ups and downs, anxiety etc........ However, I will not give up, I hope that the Lord will give me strength to overcome any challenges that come my way. I cannot wait till my birthday tomorrow! A new age, a new beginning!

For the past week, I have been trapped in a dilemma about which university I should attend. I was bothered by many factors and was sad and helpless. I felt like I was all alone and no one was there to help me. I was afraid. However, like in the book of genesis had mention (in the bible) my week had turned into a bright daylight from the bleak darkness. I was lost, but I found my way through Jesus` guide. Right now I truly want to thank the Lord, he helped and guided me through this harsh time.

We all have times of pain, anger, agony, and confusion; however, do not lose faith, trust in yourself, trust in the Lord, for he will always be there to lend a hand when you need it.

Summer Adventure Begins......

Morning: Good morning! Wow I can not believe I am officially done high school! Yesterday was my last exam and I was very fortunate to be able to spend the rest of the day after the exam with my best friend from Junior High! I know that she will be leaving for her 2 month camp job tonight, so I would like to wish her a good and fun adventure for these two months! Don't forget to call me when you get back! We must hang out then! Anyways, so about yesterday's awesome adventure. Well we traveled down to downtown by bus and did a little tour adventure of downtown's old church (which was built back in 1912!), then we went to Earls for lunch... (Thanks to my best friend who treated me to that delicious meal!) 'MMM' just thinking about that pasta I had makes my mouth water! After that awesome lunch we took the c-train and went to chinook mall for a movie. Guess what movie we watched? "Karate Kid"! At first when I saw the trailer a few weeks ago, I thought, "hmmm should I give this movie a try..?". Well let me tell you-- I am GLAD I DID! The movie was really awesome. Storyline and Characters were awesome! Jaden Smith is one awesome young actor. Jackie Chan appeared as a very strong and compassionate character..... for those who have yet to see it you must go! A recommended choice! Well I must say, I am still quite tired from all that walking and traveling yesterday, but well at least I know that my Summer break has offically started........

I have only one exam left! FINALLY! Exams sure gives me a lot of stress. But well I am very blessed that I have survived 5 exams already! Praise the Lord! Anyways, so I am still studying for my social studies exam. Right now I am listening to Janice Vidal's "In Love Again" the English version of " 我這樣愛你" by Leon Lai (orignal version). This song is very calming and beautiful, a really nice song to study to! I am so tired from all the studying I just wished that it would be like the song--where someone could take me far away to a fanatsy land where you can be carefree and happy!

Friendship in music

2010 is going by rather fast ( it has already been 6 months-that's basically half a year!). I've jsut finished 4 exams this past week and am preparing for my last two which will take place next Wednesday and Thursday. However, I have been blessed since I was able to spend time with my awesome O.M.4.G (Our Music For God) band members during my most stressful times. Honestly, when I found out that 2 of my great friends/ band members will be leaving soon after the School year has come to an end I felt sad and I know I will miss these two friends very much. However, at the same time I am rather happy for them. I mean, at least I know they are leaving for a good reason--- to journey on and pursue their dreams. These two friends will be leaving to attend the post secondary that will one day help them set their foundation for their ultimate goal. I wish them the best of luck and that God will guide them through their lifetime.

I have grown so much since band started back in September 2009, I have grown spiritually and faithfully stronger,as well my relationships with my fellow band members have increasingly gotten closer. I thank the lord for letting me meet such great friends in my parish who all share the same interest in music and faith! If you haven't noticed already, I did choose a quote (located at the top of this post) to match my reflection. This has officially become my mosf favorite quote! The first time I saw this quote was when I was at a craftstore looking through the stamps section and I found this quote on one of the stamps. This quote is really awesome and it totally matches the feelings I have towards O.M.4.G. As mentioned, I was able to build strong bonds with my friends and well today I recieved a really strong encouragement from a fellow member that has become and inspiration to me. I will try and do as he mentioned, to write and compose my own music. I know I am not a very good pianist/ musician... but I will try, I will try to make my own song that will express my true feelings towards friendship as well as Jesus the beloved saviour!

I have already decided to make my own english cover of the Korean worship song "하나님은 너를 지키시는 자". I don't know if I will succeed but I will try my best! Once again, I thank my friend for giving me such a strong encouragement!

A brief Reflection:
Once again, due to busy school work and work, I haven't been on here posting about my adventures recently. First off, I feel that this post is more a reflection-- yes so true, graduation. When I hear this word, a ton of memories of the past years of high school constantly replay in my mind. There is no doubt I grew up and matured spiritually, and knowledge wise. I feel very blessed being able to meet the teachers and Friends throughout my high school years. They have taught me how to feel proud of who I am and to not be afraid to reach for a dream that may seem hard to reach. I will continue to work hard until that day of graduation actually arrives. Though I am rather tired and worried about diploma exams coming up, I will try-- try to reach that dream I have been working towards to since grade 10.

Recent Musical Adventures:
2010 has been a really fun and musical year for me so far. Not only am I in my own Church band this year, I have also been inspired by fellow band members to explore around different types of genres and musical pieces. Recently, I browsed through some old music files I had on my computer and stumbled upon the song "Way Back Into Love" the song from the film Music and Lyrics. I must say, (though I have never really saw the movie but only a few clips here and there on YouTube) it has become one of my most favorite english songs to play and sing along on the piano. I got a chance today to play and sing along with my friend Rebecca today and it was quite fun and awesome. To me "Way Back into Love" is a cute and fun song to jam with your friends on a relaxing day. :] I'm just glad that I was able to experience that today. I will continue to practice the song until I perfect my piano playing, notes, and singing skills (though I dont have much talent or skills) until I can sing and play the song off by heart!

Easter Sunday Adventure-- One Day Trip to Banff

Today is a fantastic day--Jesus has resurrected! Although I did not celebrate Easter Sunday at church today, I did go to the Easter Vigil last night at my own parish. It has been a while since I've actually gone to an Easter Vigil celebration--- probably about three years. Anyways, as this Easter Season has begun, I feel very blessed and fortunate to be able to celebrate Easter Sunday with my family! Today, although unlike every other Sunday I did not attend mass, but I was able to spend a day in the amazing nature with my family down in Banff. As my heart rejoiced deeply about the meaningful resurrection of Jesus, I was also celebrating the time I got to spend with my family in Banff. Hmmm how can I word my trip so I don't keep repeating myself. Let's see............ although this time I did not each at the Japanese Noodle house Chaya, I went to the Chinese resturaunt instead and ate fried noodles and fried rice! I must say, the food there is so fillling! We ate lunch at around 1:00 and was able to tour around the town center of Banff without worry about hunger!
Oh right! *Haha* shopping! Wow my mother and I went on a total shopping spree! I got this long-slim looking hoody and a t-shirt, while my mom got a t-shirt and some other stuff-- I don't quite recall. ( okay true.... not a total big huge shopping spree, but for people like us who don't really spend a lot on shopping, the amount of stuff we bought today was more than usual! *hehe*). Anywho, unlike my usual visits to Banff, I did not take too many photos, but I did took a few of them just to show you what Banff looks like in the Spring. To be honest, I've been to Banff many times, but I never seem to get bored of that place! There's always amazing shopping deals, breath-taking views, and amazing food variety!
One of my many adventuring goals is to visit Banff all four seasons. So far, I've been to Banff during the summer, winter, and spring seasons. I haven't been to Banff during the autumn season yet, but I would love to do so this upcoming Autumn (which is a while away!) Well that's all! Recent Adventures

I don't even know why I am still on the computer at this hour, I mean, really, I should be sleeping since I still have school tommorow! But, well I guess since I haven't been blogging for a while I should do so while I'm still up. Hmmm......... so yes, recent adventures, not really adventures, but more like recent plans and projects. I have finally started social studies for the past 3 weeks, and yikes its a hell of a lot of homework and projects--not to mention chemistry which right now is a pain >.<.
Hmm okay, besides academic projects, I also decided to start some TV watching projects myself-- for the fun of it. Even though I have started watch to watch the amazing Korean drama "Queen Seon Deok" late I must admit that I am addicted to it. Though it's quite long and half the time I fall asleep because I watch it after all my homework and dinner ( which means my energy level is basically low :D) I find that the story line is just so amazing and intensely epic!!! I totally recommend this drama to all my friends and visitors if you are a fan of super duper long dramas about the historical times.

Okay, so another project I will be starting as of tomorrow is a musical project; as mentioned, I started to watch "Queen Seon Deok" and well there is this song in the drama called "Windflower" sang by IU which totally caught my ears. In fact, being an IU fan myself, I absolutely love the romantic/ historical/ story-like feeling the song has. So, I decided to look online for some music sheets and I found them luckily! So yes, it is decided that I will be starting my musical project of learning how to play "Windflower". I just hope I don't half- ditch my "project" like I do to other songs.

A Good Day! And my thankful heart ....

Today is.....SUCH A GREAT DAY! Although it did not start of to be a very good day at first, I guess using the phrase "best comes last" fits my day totally today! Hmm so for quite a few weeks I have been bombarded with tests, exams, diplomas, and bad marks. Well true, life sure wasn't too great. And well, I am not a very bright mathematical person; so I decided last month that I wanted to go into a better math class for semester two. Unfortunately, this week, while talking to my school councilor, I found out that wanting to go into a certain math class is rather hard. I went back to school during my short exam break numerous times, including today and was constantly told that I was still on waiting list for that class. I must say: miracles do happen! After numerous hopes and prayers, and with my family and friends' help through prayer, I found out just a few minutes ago I have made it into that math class! I really thank the Lord for helping throught this harsh time! As well as my teacher and friends! Yes, today has been a great day, though it did not start out as great, it truly was a "bitter sweet miracle day"!

The title says it all, I am finally free from the horror of final exams! :] And with this carefree feeling I am so glad that Daesung--YG Entertainment especially for releasing his new digital single "솜사당" aka Cotton Candy. It is such a cute and happy song... the kind that sounds like you're strolling freely and happily on the streets of downtown with an ice cream shop, candy shop, and a coffee shop on the sides--with the sun just above and white clouds, and a bright blue sky.......... yeah, just like that kind of feeling---worry free! So glad YG has let it out as a free download song for a couple of days. Just matches my very feeling right now! Well I have nothing much to say but to ENJOY THE SONG!

閉關.....preparation for exams.

Yes, just as the title states: I have decided to "閉關" aka "close the door" and go into "total preparation" mode. It sounds silly, I know but well I guess in order for me to do well on exams that's the only way to do it.......lock myself in my room and study for like hours and hours. Success is my goal..........well at least successful entry to university. 朋友們! Please pray for me and wish me luck during this stressful time >.< ("sigh" no kidding-- acne explosion on my chin >.<) Anyways, yes I am being rather self centered right now.....all me me me *hehe* sorry ['_________']. "人生就像一個做事" ----"Life is like a story" 同意嗎? Agree? *Hmmm* , yes-- in a way. But the life is no fairy tale, reality (like exams) really smashes your fantasy-like dreams into pieces. It's that time of year where the word "EXAM" once again becomes your worst enemy. Stress seems to find you anywhere you go. Well, I guess that life right? After all, how can life be interesting without the stress along with it? Well to be honest, I feel like im in a "fighting match" right now, counting down to when my exams will finally and officially be over. I recently finished my first diploma exam on Thursday. So 1 down, 4 to go. Still a long way. But at least the good part is after all exams are over, its Chinese New Year! The most wonderful time of the year... can't wait!
Coming to think about Chinese New Year, this year will be the year of the Tiger right? "RAWR!!!"
*hehe* So to share something funny with you all, yesterday, my mom and I did some late night groccery shopping after going skiing and instead of actually buying food items, we went to the "Toys" section of the supermarket and bought 3 of the "Ni Hao Kai Lan" characters in TY beanie babies form--becaues they were sooo cute!! For those of you who do not live where I do, "Ni Hao Kai Lan" is an English--Mandarin cross over show for toddlers and young children. It is very similar to Dora the Explorer, but instead of Spanish they teach younger kids about the Chinese culture and Mandarin Dialect. Anyways, so what I thought was really funny was after we bought the TY plushies and went home, I turned on the tv to that Children's Channel and surprisngly "Ni Hao Kai Lan" was on and was also talking about Chinese New Year! Cool right? *HEHE* Well at Least I thought it was a really cool and interesting coincedence :] .
Well I think I should get going, I'm going to get new glasses today.

Yeah! It's finally New Years Eve! Time Sure does fly by in a blink of an eye! Hmmm now time for so reflections......... 2009 has been a very adventurous year, full of ups and downs and unforgettable experiences. I guess my most unforgettable experience that occurred this past year was being able to go to this Catholic camp called WCCCLC. It was no doubt the best experience I have ever had! Through the songs in the Praise and Worship activities I felt much closer to God and my faith ^_______^. Now unto my New Year Resolutions.... hmmmm let's see I guess the very first one would be being able to graduate and get into post secondary education successfully. Now unto the more adventurous resolution... is to travel to Korea to visit my Korean Teacher!! Hmmmm maybe the smaller resolution would be to get a laptop. HAHAH more like a wish. Anyways, 2009 has been a very enjoyable year for me. I truly had learned and gained a ton of knowledge from this wonderful year! WELL it is now time to look ahead! First of all I would like to wish all my friends and visitors a very wonderful and fun HAPPY NEW YEAR!

It's Christmas Eve

"Silent night, Holy night, all is calm, all is bright!" YAY! Christmas eve has finally arrived! I am so happy! Today, I spent my Christmas Eve (and first day of Winter Break from School) at church. We had a play today called "The Christmas Love" and we acted out the wondrous story of Jesus' birth. I myself, was an innkeeper. *HEHE* but I was the mean innkeeper I didn't let poor Mary and Joseph in from the harsh night. *HEHE* Well I really shouldn't be laughing at such a mean act I did in the play. But to be honest through this play I really experienced the fun part of Christmas-- seeing my friend dress up as Joseph was halarious--her bushy beared and all. I'm glad I spent my Christmas Eve at church-- it really seemed as though I was part of Jesus' birth story.

My Christmas wish

Still counting down to Christmas and only 7 days left till Christmas day officially arrives. Okay, so that leaves us a week of waiting. I know that at around my age, Santa Clause may no longer be that jolly old man that comes around on Christmas eve to leave me the present I had longed for all year under my tree or in my stocking. But, if I could write to that Santa Claus again, I would write him my Christmas list this year. You might wonder: "Well? what will you write in your list?" To be honest, I'm not wishing for much-- only one thing, "successful admission to university.". This year, Christmas seems to be a rather worry for me. I have so much on my plate! Being constantly worried about my admission to university, it seems as though I've pushed back that happy Christmas spirit behind. So, really, If I could just write a letter to Santa Claus this year-- it would be a wish to get accepted into university. Maybe on Christmas eve, that Santa Claus would bring on his sleigh that wish which is dwindling in my heart.

Don't forget-- Christmas is not just recieving but giving! Merry Christmas Everyone!

Wow time sure did ZOOM by fast! In a blink of an eye were almost at the end of 2009! It really is an exciting time of year....... CHRISTMAS! With all the fun festivities, songs, and shopping, I sure love this time of year. Its almost 12 days till Christmas! Well if you count today its 13 days to be exact. I think the best part about Christmas though really is how everyone around us gathers together and donates to the needy. This is where the true meaning and spirit of Christmas comes to play. I mean thinking about it it really makes my heart feel warm and happy. Have you done something special to another needy person this Christmas yet? I know I have just started.... I definitely will continue to help donate and even volunteer this Christmas season!

It is 7:00 AM right now, my alarm clock/radio woke me up extremely early with the loud music of Cantonese Opera--not really the type of music a typical person would listen........ that stuff is really my alarm clock morning call kind of music-- makes me wake up! WOW, coming to think of it has already been a year since last Halloween! Time sure zooms by in a blink of an eye. *Hmmm* I wonder, do you guys celebrate Halloween where you live? What do you do? This year, I am invited over to a friends house to have fun and watch horror movies--except I am quite chicken I don't know If I'll have much fun scaring myself!! *HAHA* My friend joked around and said that I should hide behind the stuff animals my other friend had when the scary part comes. I think that would work!

Well that's all I have to say now! I hope I'll be back to update you guys about my most embarrassing moments that may happen at the party today! Well at least what were some of the stuff we did....... I hope I don't embarrass myself! >.<

Halloween Activities update and reflection: Best Halloween I've ever had!

As promised today, I came back to post about my Halloween activities I did today. I can use one word to describe this year's Halloween........EXTREMELY FUN and EXTREMELY AWESOME! REALLY! I was invited by one of my school friends to her house this Halloween, and boy we had a heck of a time! Not only were the four of us crazily having fun, we created a rather awkward new holiday called Halloweenmas. Yes, you might be able to guess what it is already. YUP Halloween x Christmas=Halloweenmas. Instead of saying the boring old "Trick-or-treat." or singing the "Trick-or treat, smell my feet..." song, we sang Christmas carols! We used green and red papers , folded them like a caroling book, and went from house to house and sang a whole bunch of christmas songs. We even said "Merry Christmas, and a Happy New Year." to the house owners. That was not the only fun and extremley awesome part! The really funny part was seeing each house's reaction to our way of asking for candy. I remember one of the houses we went to was a guy around our age, and when he opend the door, we began to sing "Silent Night" AND OMGOSH, it was halarious! His reaction and face was more like "What the hell is wrong with these people?" The he said to us: "It's Halloween guys. Not Christmas--you guys want Candy?" Well no duh! *AHHA* Of course we know..... I mean I was dressed up as a RN (Registered Nurse) going for candy! This year's Halloween was rather christmasy for my friends and I. We even got crazy over cans and cans of silly strings just like people would during christmas parties. To be honest, I had the most wonderul Halloween in my life-- or should I say the best and VERY FIRST Halloweenmas??

Amazed. Really! Big Bang is preparing for the wintery Christmas theme! (Just Kidding) well at least I think so anyways. Big Bang has stepped into the more soft and soothing kind of music and away from the strong and powerful dance music. A totally new aspect of them has been revealed! Well the more manlier and kind- hearted Big Bang..... to be honest I am really glad to be able to see DaeSung all fully recovered in this MV, despite of his major injuries from the accident, his voice has shown how strong he is as a person! Personally, I am very amazed by Big Bang's new song! It is not the loud and full blast music that they always sing, but a very inspiring and wintery like song instead. Definitely a new Big Bang for us! Hmmm I wonder if there will be a Korean version? All I know as of now is that it will be the OST for a Japanese Drama...... (I don't recall the name).

Camera Issues.... 黃子華 Comedy Show: After Thoughts
A couple of days ago, I attended a comedy show hosted by 黃子華. In the talk show, he commented on some of the weirdest camera habits we as people have nowadays. I personally really agree with what he said (not worded exactly; but close enough!) " Nowadays, cameras and cellphones are like a part of our lives. We can become our own directors and photographers. We can take pictures of ANYTHING. Even just a bowl of CHAN DAN MEEN (aka ham and egg with ramen noodles)... seriously we take those pictures and we even take time to upload them onto sites. I mean seriously, have we not seen CHAN DAN MEEN before?"

When he said that I automatically remember my two HK friends who are like extremely obessed with their cellphones and cameras. I mean, really, out of the blue, they will take any pictures from eaten food, to just taking their own faces. I really agree with 黃子華's comment, we are all photographers and directors. With one camera or even just cellphone we become our own media entertainers.

Holy smokes! Extremely late right now! Better get some sleep!

G-Dragon's Fantasy Land...I would love to go there.

G-Dragon's fantasy land... I would love to take a step into it and have G-Dragon be my guide. Actually, I really am just talking about the animated MV of "Butterfly" the 4th track of his solo album "Heartbreaker". I must say, Butterfly is one of my favorite tracks because it is very soothing and relaxing to listen to.....just like the feeling where G-Dragon becomes your guide and tours you around in his little fantasy land. ^____________^ Lovely!

Personally, I really love GD's Butterfly MV because it is an MV that has stepped away from the usual "dancing and singing" type mvs and gone into a very beautiful and dreamy animated one! Definitely an MV that has originality and creativity! (Just like GD!)

Ring Ding Dong-- SHINee!!

I must say, I am extremely proud of SHINee! When their second album "Juliette" release about 4-5 months ago.... I was rather disappointed. Their first Album release + singles and mini albums were exceptionally awesome. However, it is only that the second album rather made me feel disappointed. Especially how some of the songs sounded very much like the ones from the first album "SHINee World".......

EXCEPT NOW........ SHINee has really broken out of that "Julliete" shell and given us as the audience and fans a new fresh SHINee! For the past few days I have been on sites to listen to the previews of their new Album "2009, Year of Us" and I must say, this album is worth SHINee's fans and consumers to buy! My Favorite tracks based on the previews and full version of one song would be "Ring Ding Dong" and "JoJo". Fashion wise..... I think they've grown a lot HOTTER LOL!
I must say, Congratulations SHINee!

Hi again, Very seldom do I post two posts in one day! This holiday is really giving some good rest and free time away from homework! Anyways, so I was just on YouTube browsing some Taiwanese Dramas cause I don't really have anything to do......GUESS WHAT! I found a rather interesting drama to watch. Although I'm not a fan of F4 I think that this drama with Vaness is going to be very interesting. I definitely recommend it... well I saw basically the trailer so far. I am watching the first episode right now. To be honest, I haven't touched Taiwanese entertainment for a while.... but I am excited to watch more of this drama. It seems pretty interesting. Anyways...... better get watching!

Recently, I was browsing on the internet for some kawaii food pictures. The ones where people use photoshop brushes and make adorable faces on pictures of cakes, breads, sushi etc. Then I stumbled upon this site and holy smokes this site was CUTE. It even showed you how to make those some extremely cute cell phone strap accessories and cute huggable plushies! Well, this weekend I am on holidays for Thanksgiving so I think I am going to start to learn to make these adorable things!!

Wow, in a blink of an eye, the weather has changed dramatically! From hot sunny days to windy, icy, and cold snowy weather. Seriously not a very pleasant experience right now. It doesn't stop there though...... just when I think I am doing fine in school... I found out I really am not. My marks are not soo great! I am extremely worried! What should I do? I mean, I'm not really slacking off or anything..... I am doing homework and studying....... it's just not so great today! I am worried. tired. scared. and cold. Not such a great day......

Youth Band coming in action!

Today has been a really fast yet wonderful day. First of all, the weather's awesome! Second of all...... the idea of setting up a youth band in our parish is finally starting to form. Both my friend and I are really happy that our idea is being supported by many parishioners at our church! Thank you Jesus for answering my prayers! Hopefully our parish will be touched by the music that our future band will be singing and producing! But of course, I must thank the camp and the person I met at the camp who is willing to share the wonderful songs and provide advice for us!

Anyways! I can't really think of anything else to say...... I will continue to pray and continue give thanks and service towards others around me and become a witness to God's wonderful love for us!

Musical Adventure

:] I know I've been talking about the WCCCLC camp for a while now, but I still cannot stop thinking about the music and songs I have learned! Anyways, so recently, I found some of the songs that we sang at the camp and I'm currently learning to play them on the piano.... its quite fun! I guess that's my little musical adventure highlight of the weekend. *HAHA* I finally completed my Korean Quiz today (from lessons).......le'ts just say it wasn't really a quiz, my friend and I plus the teacher helped each other out during the "testing" anyways, it was more like a review of zoo animals! Pretty awesome! I also learned about the body parts of humans....... i have the word "mori" (which means "Head" ) stuck in my head! *hehe* funny leh?! WOW it is getting super late and I'm still on the computer updating my blog! *EEEEK* Anywho..... gotta finish my one page math homework before I go to sleep!

I still have quite a bit of homework to do, yet...... I don't really feel like doing it right now. I'm being too distracted by the internet right now. HMMMM I still have to study for my Korean quiz tomorrow! I still havent!

Talking about tests, today I did my first unit test in math.....I hope I did okay!

Dare To Be A Witness of Love

This past weekend I went to a camp in BC called WCCCLC: Dare to be a witness of Love.
I can only use one word to describe this camp. AMAZING! WCCCLC is probably one of the most awesome camps I have ever been. Through the music and faith sharing it has really opened my heart to many new things and even people. WCCCLC 2009 will definitely be one of those camp memories I will cherish deeply! I personally enjoyed the Father Talks and morning exercises very much! They not only were fun, but allowed me to interact with people from various parishes! All I have to say is Thank you Lord for this opportunity! Anyways, So I started school for about 2 weeks now and well let's just say its been really really good. I will continue to work hard as I journey towards my goal of getting into university! **uh oh** its getting late! I have a math quiz tomorrow! Better get going!

My traveling adventures!

Hey everyone! After some hard work in summer school, I am finally on my wonderful vacation of traveling. Yesterday, I went to Banff (with my family)-- A wonderful place with a bit of city-like feeling and a bit of nature/ wilderness feeling mixed with it. A great combination in which I would love to live in. Anyways, despite the fact that I have been to Banff many many times-- I thought that this time was a rather great trip. First of all, even though we grabbed lunch at the food court in the Town Square mall, the fried rice and beef was actually good. ( NOTE: I ordered the fried sweet and sour chicken balls but they were not that great.-- so if you ever get a chance to travel to Banff and eat at the Town Square food court one of the Chinese fast food franchise sells that type of food-- I wouldn't exactly recommend it.

But here comes the best part.. after lunch we went and shopped around--- I went to the Roots store they had there and bought this amazing hat for $10.00. I really like the style! It's nice and it's cehap-- what more could I ask for!

Next, we went to the rather new candy shop in Banff I think its called "Banff Sweet Shoppe" you better check my photo slide shows to see the name, but the store was rather nice looking! A bit of old fashion looking. I bought a $0.35 candy stick called "Island punch" haven't really tried it yet, but I will today as I hit the road for my next destination. After a bit more of shopping and look arounds at the various souvenir shops, we went to the closest water fall and took a few pics. Nothing too too special about the water fall.. pretty much the same like every year-- but it was rather cold after a couple of the mini rainfalls that occured yesterday.

Personally, I think the climax of my trip is the dinner I had. For the past couple of years, when my family and I traveled to Banff, we don't really go to try their Japanese resturaunts for dinner because we often just spend a couple of hours there and then leave. However, this year, stayed and spent the whole day there and I was actually able to try out one of the Japanese noodle shops there. The noodle shop I tried there is called "Chaya" not too sure what it really means in Japanese but there was a kanji in the title with the word "茶" in it. So I guess the shop's name has something to do with "tea". Anyways, the shop its self is not very bit.. it is an L shaped shop. To order we had to go up the the counter and tell the wonderful waitress. I ordered a beef udon and it to be honest was one of the best udons I have ever eaten!Usually the udons I eat in the Japanese restaurant in the city are prepared by chinese people who opened the Japanese eatery-- so I think it didn't taste as original or traditonal. Anywho, the udon I had was really good-- I even sprinkled this spicy powder they had at the mini self serve rack and it really enhanced the natural sweet and salty flavor in the miso based soup! In summary, I really recommend this Japanese noodle shop for you guys because not only does the shop have a very special Japanese feeling to it the noodles/ food, and service that was provided was AWESOME! Wow, I can't believe this year's summer school is soo busy with all the yucky homework! *hehe* but, I guess its better than staying at home for 24 hours everyday wondering what to do to keep me occupied and not die of boredom. Anyways, I had a test yesterday for summer school and got a really good mark on it so I am extremely happy ^_____^.
Hmmm as seen in the title of this post, I found myself really liking Onew's singing.... it's really really amazing! One of my favorite songs is "Vanilla Love" by Lee Ji Hyun in which Onew is featured in it. It's a really sweet song and Onew sounds really good in it (well I think anyways). The song is currently featured on my blog so ENJOY!

*Hmmm* today seems like such a boring day--- (cloudy skies, not much sunshine)... there is nothing to do. Anyways, so there is still one more day before my summer school journey of two and a bit weeks. I'm currently trying to find some interesting movies to watch or to search up on but nothing is coming to my mind at the moment-- cause I'm just sooo bored. But just two minutes ago, I got myself into some quick snapshotting...... here is my big stuffed dog. I don't have a name for him-- ( I don't even know whny I just assumed that he's a guy) but anyways here is one of the best pics I took of him. Under my doggy snapshot is the picture I took at the BBQ party this passed Sunday. Of the wonderful wilderness. For some odd reason I feel proud of this picture. I think I really should learn some photography.. its;'s a lot of fun!

summer school soon

*HEHE* after a long week and a bit of break, I am returning to school-- not exactly-- but SUMMER SCHOOL! I'm not super super excited but still excited to see some of my friends again. Anyways, so on Friday, I went to celebrate my brothers birthday... it was pretty good and fun. THE KOREAN FOOD was awesome!
Yesterday was perhaps one of the hottest days ever! My church had a BBQ party at this park with tipis..... the weather was super nice and HOT. I think I had a mini heat stroke.. cause I felt so tired and exhausted even when I was just sitting there. The food they served was great. Really wanna give these people who took their time to set up the great event A GREAT THANK YOU!
Anyways, so I watched a movie last night after the exhausting BBQ party.... it's called " On a stormy night" aka "あらしのよるに" in Japanese. This is an anime film about a wolf and goat who became friends after a rain storm. The story at first started out really funny, Gabu the wolf was HILARIOUS and of course Mei the goat was super cute. The whole point of the story was that the wolf became friends with his lunch--Mei. However, the story turned out to be a super touching and meaningful story about true friendship and caring. This movie is worth watching!
Future plans for summer school:
Not much but I hope I do well and achieve a good mark!

Such a happy day! Today is Nickhun's ( from 2pm) birthday...... Wish you a happy and joyful 21st birthday (생일 축하합니다! Saeng Il Chuka Hapnida!) . Anyways, I was just on you tube a couple minutes ago and found this halarious clip of 2pm practicing their performance of "I Hate You" the beginning was really good, but then near the end it became a funny goofing around practice instead *hehe*. Poor Junho looked so mad hehe that the rest of them were fooling around....wooyoung and his usual humor ( haha the wall thing was halarious) , Nickhun totally clueless and confused.....Taec, Jae, and Junsu, and Chang sung were all fooling around... *haha* such a funny clip to cheer me up on a boring day.

Yesh! Finally done all my exams, sure gave me a very stressful time. Anyways, I am officially on summer holidays now! Planning to buy a camera..... but then I don't know which one is a good one. Another good thing is my 2pm cds finally arrived 2 weeks ago. Didn't have a chance to post about this awesome news last 2 weeks because of homework and exams. *hehe* but now that I am free, I can finally post and update my blog. Kind of worried about my diploma though for biology, but i hope I didn't fail it.

Upcoming plans for the summer?
Um quite a bit of stuff happening this summer-- I have summer school -- so I can get some of my subjects over with ( so not as stressful during the school year) and well it may not sound too exciting but I am going to Edmonton this year with my great family friends. Hmmmmm oh and yes I am going to learn bandminton and ping pong during August. HEHE another highlight? Getting contacts in 2-3 weeks. Super excited.

Anyways better go grab some breakfast ^^

dduk bok gi adventure... exams awaiting

Currently I am learning to make "Dduk Bok Gi" a very common snack you can get off the street vendors in Korea. I think its translated to be "Spicy Rice cakes". I went shopping at a market to buy the materials for my Dduk Bok Gi I'm planning ot make on either Friday or satruday. I really wanna try what Sung Min and Kyu Hyun did for their dduk bok gi snack when they volunteered at the disablity center for kids- they put cheese in it! ( you can find the clip on you tube) Anyways, I am also really happy because both my 2pm cds are finally shipped out! I think I will be expecting to get my CDs sometime next week (possibly thursday?). School has not been too bad lately... almost done. One more full week of Classes and then EXAMS! I have diploma for biology this year so I am really really stressing out and freaking out at the same time!

Hopefully my 2pm cds will ease my stress during the study periods..........

Well better get some sleep- early studying tomorrow!

Just last week I was on the internet surfing about Korean Language schools that would be close to where I live. I finally found one but I'm not sure if the information I found on the internet is correct... I hope it is though. Anyways, I'm on my spring/easter break right now- but my gosh time sure does fly by.. my super anticipated break is coming to an end and school starts all over again on Monday. SO NOT PREPARED. A couple more weeks of school and then DIPLOMA! EEEK really hope I do well on the biology diploma..............

Well, enough about school freak outs. To be honest, I am currently really into 2pm-- especially Nickhun. ^^ He's so funny and cute on star King. The best part is that their album is gonna be out soon and well as mentioned on my previous post I want to order it! Super excited! I had quite an adventure today in fact, my friend and I got together to practice our songs for this upcoming otafest idol thing. I am actually really nervous and scared to be honest-- yes I have pperformed in front of large groups before with my super awkward singing skills (>.<) but I have never really sang outside to a sepereate crowd besides the church company. Quite nervous. Ye, at the same time I'm excited for this year's otafest.. its gonna be so much fun volunteering again... brings back all the memories about last year with my friends and I. It's getting late now.

Recently, I have been into the band 2PM, their music is very energetic and they all have amazing talent in dancing. It's super late right now--(or should I say early) and I just went on and saw 2Pm's new MV "Again and Again" the song is quite good and catchy. :] One of the best things is that 2Pm has comeback with a more powerful and strong style. Very impressive! I am planning to order their new album "Time For Change" online as soon as it is officially released! Really really want to support them for all their hard work over the past months! Anyways, since I'm soo happy that their new song and MV from their new album just got released I will be sharing it on my blog with you all.

*hehe* Coincidence or what? I'm watching 2Pm's new releases at 2 o' clock in the morning... just not pm but it would've been funny if it was 2 in the afternoon!

new song "lollipop". my retreat reflections

Yay! Finally, more new Big Bang music is released! But this time its totally new and different because female Big Bang-- also known as "21" is also featured in this song called "Lollipop" with Big Bang! The song has a wonderful upbeat feeling to it and it is quite catchy. I think that it is a very good wake up song to have in the morning to get ourselves ready for another challenge. I think I like the new female Big Bang --well "21" they are super colourful in terms of style just like Big Bang! Since I saw Sandra Park in Gummy's "I'm Sorry" MV with TOP, I noticed her right away.. her hairstyle and outfit for this CF somehow reminds me of the Flinstones. ^_____^. I'm glad this song came out cause this is really the only thing that's cheering me up right now since I got a really bad hair trim today. It seems like the hair dresser didn't get the point of "just a trim".

Retreat Reflections:
As promised, I wanted to post something about the retreat I attended yesterday. To be honest, I must say that I was glad I went. Before, I thought that this retreat would be like any other retreat, boring, only about prayers and how ot be a good person, preparing for the Easter Season. But, this retreat has surprised me and has totally changed my biased views about youth retreats. Not only was it fun and amazing, the messages they gave us through their talks has really touched my heart and I think that it will stay with me forever. The best part was meeting new people and being able to spend more time with friends whom may see only maybe once a week or even once a month. This retreat was really a blessing and gift.

Well, I still have lots of Homework to get done....better get going before it gets late!

It's been a while since I've been on here again. Wow homework is just too overloading.... but the good yet maybe bad part is University is almost coming my way, one more year and then university will be coming... very very excited for it but at the same time worried and scared- after all it is a new environment where I'm gonna have to adapt to.

Anyways, enough of my complaints and worries... recently I've ordered Bog Bang's concert online and i finally opened it and watched their performance.... one word to describe it--- AWESOME!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! HAHA the package was not only nice but the best part was all the performances..finally got to seem them on big screen instead of the internet. I've got a retreat today, hopefully i can update more on this blog soon after the retreat. Except, I'm not sure that its gonna be fun with all the snow here! EVEN IN SPRING! >.<

*Hehe* really really happy. ALL MY EXAMS ARE FINISHED! Even though I'm not sure I did well on my Piano exam, I am just happy it is done and over with. Really hope I can start hanging out with my friends and so we can start ordering the Big Bang Concert DVDs. Anyways, so about my second semester, I am acutally really happy about my teachers, especially for my biology teacher this year, I have a good teacher that will hopefully help me do better. Anyways, about today, I finally got the movie "Do Re Mi Fa So La Ti Do" a Korean movie which starrs Jang Geun Seuk and 2 other people I'm not really sure of. * HAHA* I guess it's because of the drama Beethoven Virus, that once a gain got me into Jang Geun Seuk's movies. THe First time I saw him was in parts of "Hwang Jin Yi" the drama version, and then "Baby and I Movie" which just came out on DVD not too long ago. I think his acting skills are just great! Anyways, it's real late now.. still got school to worry about tomorrow!

Wow, time just zooms by, I am now officially done my academic exams, I am still awaiting for my piano exam which I am extremely worried about. Hopefully, I will be able to do well on that exam. Well, about my chemistry exam... I don't want to say too much about it because I don't wanna like jinx my test. I just hope I did okay, that's all I'm gonna say. Anyways, today was a pretty good day besides the fact that I had a chemistry exam in the morning. My Korean friend and I went to Chinatown today for some Bubble tea and well since I haven't had mango bubble tea for a while I thought it was really good. HAHA the funny thing is, well we were trying to save money and we ended up buying those chinese buns at this chinese bakery and went to a mall's food court and drank and ate our chinese buns there. Well I thought it was pretty funny because you know how in food courts they always have somewhat of a sign or whatever that says "No outside food please." well my friend and I just ignored that and enjoyed our bubble tea and Chinese buns. HEHE soo funny. So anyways, recently took the advice from my korean friend and decided to watch the Korean version of "Boys Over Flowers" according to her the guys in this version are super hot. :] maybe I should give it a try :] .

Yesterday, I checked my exam mark and found out I did better than I thought I did so I am very happy and I guess the stress has gone off a little bit. Even though I still have two more very important exams, I think I will be able to handle because I will try my hardest to do well in each and every one of them. However, I really want to thank God for giving me such blessing and support through this time. But, something recently has been bugging me a lot.... unfortunately, I lost my cute finger puppet I had since I was 5 years old. That finger puppet is very special to me, it was made by people who worked at the Children's hospital, the finger puppet gave me courage and inspiration to work towards my goal of becoming a nurse. I finally finished one of my exams. Honestly, I thought it was kinda hard even though i knew most of the answers and checked over it like 8 times I still think I didn't do as well. Hopefully I passed. But still my stress goes on, I still have 2 more exams, a chemistry one and hten a piano exam wihci i am still not prepared for. I feel soo stressed out recently... I think thats why I can't sleep well during the night time. O WELL I better continue to work hard. HAHA after all isn't life all about tests and challenges? YIKES! Christmas/New Year break is over and now I have to face the real harsh reality.... exams! I'm so nervous! First, I have a chapter test in chem tomorrow and then a unit test the next day ( last day of full classes) and then I have academic finals which include Social Studies and then Chemistry... and then my piano exam which I'm totally not prepared for! O.o HELP!

WOW time sure does zoom by! Today is the last day of 2008-- December 31,2008 @ 6:37pm. I am really happy! I want to wish all my friends and everyone around the world a "HAPPY NEW YEAR! and MAY ALL YOUR DREAMS COME TRUE! It seemed like yesterday was when I wished everyone a happy 2008 year. Time just goes by so fast that we as people don't even notice how fast it goes by. For celebration today, my family will be having hot pot ( a special Chinese cuisine where you cook your food in a pot and eat it right away) I love hot pot! *haha*. Before I go, I would like to thank you all my friends who have given me a great 2008 year and I would also like to thank my family for all their support through the past year. (^_^) Most important of all I would like to thank God for giving me all the experiences and happiness I have had this past year! THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU!
You might wonder what my new year wishes and goals are.. well my first number one goal is too be able to continue to do well in school. Another wish for those who are suffering in poverty and sickness that they will recieve the help they need and the proper care that they lack. Also, anoher wish is for my family--that they will live in joy, love, and have good health. YAY! I can hardly believe, finally after many many brown Christmases we finally get a white Christmas! I'm extremely happy and totally in the Christmas mood! Hopefully my Christmas banner will give you a super joyful Christmas mood as well! Just a couple of weeks ago, when I went Christmas shopping I bought this book full of Peanuts characters and quotes. It's called "A Treasury of Happiness" inside there's this section full of funny Christmas quotes and one of them really caught my attention... it said: "Christmas is a time of hope, a time of loving, a time of joy" Although it's just one quote, it really summarizes what Christmas is really all about-- a time for family sharing and love!

Since today is such a special day I think I will split this post to two parts! It is now 10:42 am.... hopefully after today's Christmas play at chruch ends I will be able to once again come on and continue to share about my Christmas thoughts with you all!

I always say that I will be on my blog more often, but it seems that it never really happens! Recently it has been quite stressful at school with so many tests in chemistry and so much work from social class and with piano (since my exam is up pretty soon). But, I am still really excited and happy because Christmas is just around the corner! Hopefully this year it will be a white Christmas. Luckily, it snowed quite a bit recently, really looking forward to having a white Christmas! *Sigh!* I'm really really tired and would really want to have a break from all the stress...... but really after Christmas break its final exams again.. one of the worst things you can get in High school. But well hopefully I will do well and continue to do well in all my subjects in school.

Finally! snow has arrived! I am so happy! Suddenly this snow comes and I feel super christmasy! *Haha* even though christmasy is not even I word, I cannot think of any other word that can describe of how Christmas-like it is outside. Last year's christmas wish wasn't very interesting.... I wished for a Wii. This year I got it~!!---but with my own money i earned from work....not from my parents.>.<. This year I wish for a guitar. One of the normal ones-- I think they are called acoustic guitars. O_O Sorry If I put in the wrong name ! Obviously I'm not an instrument explorer or inspector. *hahaha* even though i play the piano, I don't think I understand the world of instruments at all.

F.T. Island--- HONG KI! :]

Wow. seriously I thnk i need to set a goal and try to update this blog more often! Most recently, I have been busy with a ton of chemistry homework, but strange how iI always get the feeling of "nah I'll do it later" I really want to do well in school but this feeling just keeps coming. Luckily, I am able to control the whole urge of not doing homework. Funny, recently, I have found myself listening to quite a bit of F.T. Island music. They really are a talented group! Hopefully I can figure how things work on yesasia soon and be able to order their CD. Yesterday, I saw a show called: "좋아서" also known as "Becoming a good Daddy" and Hong Ki, and Hee Chul are in it! *haha* funny thing is that Hong Ki is only a couple years older than the "daughter" he is "taking care of". super funny and interesting show! In fact, cute baby Mason is the MC! *HAHA* SUPER CUTE!

BUT THE BEST PART:
I GOT A NEW CELL PHONE! Although I liked my old one, it was sad it totally broke without me doing anything bad to it. Anyways I'm happy that i am able to get the phone I want.--- A lovely samsung phone!

Today...
Happy happy happy! NO SCHOOL today! I totally spent my day like a pig *haha*--- sleep, eat, and watch movies/shows... so on. O yea! I got bored today and decided to make a new banner AGAIN! I guess I really like designing new banners and stuff like this. hopefully I can get more tutorials on webpage designs and start designing a whole new template for this blog.

Wow! It's been a while since I've logged onto this blog again! A ton of things happened this past few weeks. There has been tears, laughs, stress, and joy. Homework has always been a stressful thing, but I guess after a full month of school, I'm starting to get used to the "work under pressure" thing. Hmmmm what's something new that happened the past few weeks? well.... I GOT A HAIRCUT! *haha*. this time its short-- its been a couple years since I've cut my hair this short-- well its a bob cut. Before, I was debating whether or not I should cut my hair, but I guess I made a good choice, it is serioulsy so much easier to wash, comb, and blow dry!

Today.....
Sad, today, I finally turned on my computer and logged on to YT. I finally watched FT Island's "Heaven" MV.. the first part was okay... but then *sniff sniff* the second part was sad, but definitely the best! The story was pretty easy to understand but extremely sad.. poor Jae Jin sacrificed his life for this girl who's like older than him >.<. BUT seriously, what he said at the end of the MV was sooo touching!-- "Noona Saranghae." !!!!!

Still learning....
As I mentioned before, I am learning Korean-- speaking and writing. It's been months since I touched my Korean book and notes.. ad well I blame it all on my homework *haha*. But, I have found that event though I'm just doing self studying, I'm actually able to understand and read some Hangul pretty well! But really, I do want to go for some Korean lessons. Since I graduated from Chinese school, its always like I'm missing something now. Anyways, hopefully, the next summer I'll be able to find some Korean Lessons for Beginners.

This Friday, Tiffany, Joie, Irene and I were suppose to hang out but I guess we weren't able to make it this time. >.< style="color: rgb(153, 153, 153);">

Well I guess thats all for today. It's now 2 am in the morning and I'm still up on the computer.. I'm tired now I think I should go to sleep since I still have church tomorrow and homework.

好久沒有用過中文 blog 了.....所以今天想用用中文來表達我的心情和想法。嗨..最近真的超忙!功課多都不行........ especially physics!雖然我很喜歡 Physics, 可是 Mr. G. 他也給太多功課了吧!每天都要做着不多十反 physics homework...真的好累喔... anyways.......Recently, S.H.E released their newest Album called FM S.H.E! My most favorite song is "Wo Shi Huo Xing Ren", it is now currently playing on my blog! *Haha* I was repeating the song over and over again yesterday, and decided I should make a banner that fit the theme of the song. So I designed this new banner full of music and alien feeling to it..(see the small alien on the side and the buttons of a music player?) HAHA it just matches the theme of S.H.E's new album "FM S.H.E"! HAHA thanks to them for the inspiration!

Okay... even though last month I was pretty excited for school, I seriously want it to be summer holidays again where its homework free! I'm still up doing some chemistry lab homework right now. I really do need to catch some sleep.... I'M SO TIRED. This weekend went by too too fast. I was waiting for it the whole time and now boom. its over. I'm actually really nervous because on Thursday it will be my physics exam and well I didn't do so well on my physics quiz this past week so I'm worried and scared that I will do bad on my exam (which is worth more in marks than a quiz) as well! *sigh* well got to get going with my homework!

wait.... there is one thing that i'm happy about though...... DBSK's Mirotic Album!

Today was an extremely happy day for me.... 今天我買了一個 Wii 呢! I used some of the money I have saved up over the past year through working 4 days a week constantly. I feel extremely happy! 終於可以和我家人一起開開心心活動一下! Theres is only a few more days left of my summer holidays, even though its almost over, I think I am now ready to head for school and begin to face new challenges! It is now 9:42 pm.... better get used to going to bed early and get some good sleep! Got a big day ahead of me tommorow!

My summer holidays is coming to an end. Wow this summer really zoomed by fast! All I am doing right now is trying to get ready for school and trying really hard to say goodbye to my lovely summer holidays........ school will be sooooooo draaaaaagggggggy and hard this year-- but I will try my best and do better than last year *haha*. I was babysitting today and I decided to edit another photo I took today of my Hello Kitty and Christmas Bear, of my so many stuffed animals these two are like two of my favorites. It's really weird, I have this feeling of wanting to go to school but at the same time I don't... but well I guess seeing my friends is the part I await the most but too bad I don't have classes with a couple of my friends this year >.<

Currently I've been trying extremely hard to learn the korean language. It is seriously hard but I really enjoy learning it. I can say some basic introduction sentences and words so far....... hopefully I can attend Korean school soon so I can actually understand it more and maybe be able to speak it. Yesterday I took a whole day working on this blog's layout/colours/ banners etc. I had a lot of fun and really enjoyed making the banner *haha*. My blog will be a year old soon so I decided to take some time and think of a new theme...... my blog used to be black- now I wanna just wanna try some new tastes and use white as my background. The theme of my blog is music..... I guess it was because of FT Island's song "Troublemaker" that got me into changing my blog theme to music. Today I made an unusual dish for lunch... a few days ago I made some Kimbap and I had some ingredients left over so I decided to create a dish of my own, so, I made this dish called "Fried Kimdon" (KEKEKE) you might be asking me WTH is "Fried Kimdon"? Well its just basically a type of fried noodle that consists of chopped up kimbap ingredientssoya sauce, salt, pepper and undon noodles. You can tell that I combined the two words Kimbap and Udon together and made "Kimdon" I had a lot of fun making this dish ^_____^

I seriously don't want summer to end >.<. Well Beijing olympics have finally ended it was pretty interesting but then I kinda got bored after watching multiple sports over time. I went school shopping yesterday and got this colourful backpack... my old one lasted me 3 years hahaha you can tell how careful I am with things. Well got to go now and get ready for work!

昨天的美味韓國料理

昨天是我的生日真的很開心可以同家人一起過-我心裡覺得很快樂很幸福!昨天我吃了一頓非常美味的韓國料理! 炸醬麵 (Ja Jang Meyon) 真的超好吃的! 不過我覺得很攷的是當我們在吃我們一頓美味的晚餐時一首我蠻喜歡的韓語歌 " Sarang Surowo" (by: Kim Jong Kook)也在播喔! 真的好像餐廳的owner 知道是我的 specail day 呢! 還有, 昨天我也吃了我的生日蛋糕 (而且是芒果口味的喔!).......禮物不是很多可是我已經覺得很開心了: 媽咪買了一條頂鍊, 還收了兩大紅包! 昨天真的是非常非常滿足和幸福的一天喔! HEHE WHAT A SWEEEEEEET BIRTHDAY!

最近韓風又突然吹向我了! 我發現我成為 Super Junior 的小 Fans了. 之前剛認識他們也沒有覺得他們很特別, 後來在綱上還有通遛朋友的介紹我才知道原來 Super Junior 裡面有一位中國人叫韓庚,今個夏天我還變成他的小 fans 了! 而因此我也因他的應向變了 Super Junior 這團體的fans 了! 不過,我覺得韓庚蠻厲害的能够在韓個為我們中國人爭光,還有也成為奧運其中一位的火巨手! 但是最令我非常surprise 的是他的粉絲們對他的愛護和忠心真是偉大! 他們不但忠心還很有愛心:他們可以以韓庚的名字創立一個慈善機構還為韓庚的 23 歲生日作曲呢! 這團充滿愛的Fans 們真直得我們的讚賞!

現在我巳經開始倒數還有多少天到旅行那天, 如果從今天計走來大概還有二十天就會到温哥華去了!

今天在綱上又看到了韓國的一個有名的卡通小熊叫 Wishwing 覺得他很可愛。上一年在綱上看到他沒有想過他為什麽叫 Wishwing, 不過今天我終於明白了... 今天我在綱上找到它的迷你 biography 了! Wishwing 這個名字很有意思的, 而且很簡單。"Wish" 是"願望"的意思而 "wing" 就是"翅膀"的意思, 那麼,如果你把"wish" 還有"wing" 這兩個字加起來就等如 "想飛"的意思; 也就是說, Wishwing 這一隻可愛的小熊希望他有一天可以飛。創造他的人希望當小朋友抱著這隻可愛的小熊的時候就會跟 Wishwing 一樣一直抱著有希望的精神去度過每一天! Wishwing 這小messenger 意義可大呢!

I haven't used English in my blog for quite a while... well actually I never really did*hehe*. So today, I have decided to type my entry in English today. Just a few hours ago I was browsing on the internet and I came across this small Korean cartoon bear again "Wishwing" is his name. I thought he was extremely cute when I first saw him last year but I never really thought about going in depth and finding out why he was named Wishwing. So today, I decided to do so! After hours and hours of frantic search I finally found out the meaning of this cute bear's name. His name is rather simple I think. First of all, lets break his name apart. His name consists of two words: "wish" and "wing". The word "wish" means to desire or long for, and the word "wing"- well that's really self explanatory (hehe). In other words, Wishwing's name means tha the wants or longs to fly one day. The creators of Wishwing wanted children to have the same kind of thinking and motivation like Wishwing in their daily lives. What a great meaning this little messenger has!
